NUIG - Human Biology Building

Summary

The Human Biology Building at the National University of Ireland, Galway, will be the new home for the School of Medicine, providing teaching and research facilities for undergraduate and postgraduate students. 

Our objective was to deliver a high end Audio Visual solution that would meet the needs of teaching staff, researchers and students.      

Challenges

The main challenge with the HBB were the many varied rooms which called for different AV solutions. These rooms included Lecture Theatres, Research Laboratories and Meeting Rooms. Each room was a different size and had different requirements, so the location of screens, speakers, projectors etc. was critical. 

• 10 Small Meeting Rooms
• 8 Medium Lecture Rooms
• 1 Large Boardroom
• 2 Large Lecture Theatres
• 1 Gross Anatomy Lab

It was imperative that the very best audio and visual experience would be delivered to facilitate the best possible experience for research and education.
